Health & Safety Committee
The agency has regional Health and Safety Committees that meet on a
regular basis. Each regional committee acts as an advisory group and
assists in monitoring and maintaining appropriate employee occupational
health and safety in the work place. Each committee is comprised of equal
representation from management, supervisory and field employees who meet
once per month. Minutes of Health and Safety meetings are posted in the
reception room of every regional office, circulated to residential
programs, and published in the monthly company newsletter (The ICE
Page).
The Health and Safety Committee brings groups of employees from different
areas of the company together to improve employee health and safety on the
job. The health and safety committee works to improve employee work
environments by reviewing injury/illness/near miss investigations, policy
and hazards, and brings employee concerns forward to
management.
