Non Residential Programs
Non-residential supports are delivered to individuals in
their own home; if they live at home with their parents, independently or
with a roommate.
This service is designed primarily to assist mentally handicapped
adults or children that require one to one or small group support in a
variety of areas. Services include assistance with behaviour modification
programs, educational/vocational programs, in-home relief or community
The individual in service lives in a home in the community with twenty four hour staffing supports either as the only tenant or with roommates. I.C.E. encourages the client or guardian to be as fully involved, to the best of their abilities in planning daily living, community activities, goal planning, staff evaluation and program feedback.
Support Home Operators
The individual in service lives with a family or
individual. Most importantly the Support Home Operator provides essential
supports to allow the person to become independent and a participating
member of the community. I.C.E. monitors services provided by the Support
Home Operator and ensures the service meets industry standards.
